Too brilliant for the masses...
I've probably seen this movie literally 100 times, and I never tire of it. I never understood why it doesn't get more acclaim, until I realized that the masses just don't get it. Avary's vision is just too clever and subtle for most people to catch on. He's a poet, and showing things in layers. There is so much to this movie, and it's so brilliant in so many ways that people just don't get it.
Anyone who went through college *beep* up (and I don't mean drunk or high necessarily, I just mean confused, figuring life and yourself out while making memories), should be able to relate to these characters, because you're either one of them, or you knew one of them in college.
It's a great ******* movie, and I wish it got the praise it deserves, but instead the public with say "derp it didn't make any sense derp."
