choice of guests

One gripe about Dinner for Five -- where were so many of the major indie film stars that people who watch IFC would expect to see?

Why is it that commediennes like Sheri Oteri, Molly Shannon and Laura Kightlinger were booked on the show yet "queen of indie" Parker Posey wasn't? So many major indie players were missing: Kevin Corrigan, Eric Stoltz, Sam Rockwell, Catherine Keener, Don Cheadle, James Le Gros, Steve Buscemi, and on and on.

I know Jon Favreau has a background in improv commedy but the show was on IFC, not Comedy Central. I just thought there was an odd amount of comedians on the show who have no connection to independent film whatsoever. I guess he thought they would liven up the dinners and make them fun but most of them didn't even do that (seems most comedians aren't even funny when they're just being themselves).

It was always interesting to see the randomness of who was chosen but I hope if the show goes on in the future they leave out the booking of comedians for the sake of being comedians.
