Greasy.

I keep telling people this isn't a show rather a documentary on Canadian Life.

reply

Honestly Mike Smith always seemed like kind of a douche.

reply

Yes you're absolutely right. First time I saw him out of character in TV interviews I thought "Man, the guy who plays Bubbles is sure a kuntbag"... what a disappointment.

Yeah and Robb Wells is arguably the nicest?

reply

Yeah Rob seems like a pretty cool dude.

I have also read that Mike Smith in real life is a jerkoff. I have also read that he is a major part of the show and the stories, which I think have gone downhill since Season 7 (after Clattenberg).

Sort of a shame since Bubbles is my favorite character, but I enjoy the acting and not the person. I love Bubbles and always want to visit him. Mike Smith, in the words of Ricky can "F..k off."

reply

This isn't the first time this happened I do not think.

In Ontario they did a show a while back in my hometown. An incident happened at theblocal bar that was kept hush hush. The story is John Paul Tremblay and Rob Wells were out at the bar. They sent Mike Smith back to the hotel after what ever happened at the bar. I don't want to start a rumorville here but that always stuck in my head all these years. I wanted to know what could have happened that they sent him home to the hotel while they stayed out and partied.

I understand why Lucy left the show. I support her decisions she has made. She has played Lucy since the black and white movie in 1998. She was almost pimped out in season ten and thats just greasy. Clattenberg really had a peice of the show he took with him. Lol Ray was one greatest characters ever. "Hey what going on there Jimmy? Why dont you mind your own business Ray? .....*beep* You." (Rolls away in a wheelchair)

The show will move on and we will still watch it. Just how far can it go?

Same here. Bubbles is the only role I've liked him in. Whenever he's not Bubbles he seemed so unlikable, probably b/c he's not acting.

Hes a big time douche, is he a pretty brilliant guy hell yes! However he thinks he's better than everyone and treats people like shyt.

reply

It's the media. They get any info and blow it out of proportion just for site hits and attention. Then people will blindly believe it and trash talk comes.

Emotional abuse is considered a real criminal offence so it was for the best that the cops were called.

What worries me about Mike Smith is his brilliant portrayal of a big-hearted, good person as Bubbles. So its obvious that he can tell the line between bad and good and he deliberately chooses to be a dick (if he is really the *beep* we think he is, I am mostly judging by his character in Swearnet: The Movie). I could be wrong, and maybe the dick personality is also a very smart move to create some buzz.

reply

Greasy stuff, I'd say. Jokes aside, that's pretty fúcked up.

Chances are if he wasn't famous for his character 'Bubbles' fame wouldn't go over his head and start doing stupid shít like this.

reply

Yeah, Mike Smith does have that "I'm better than you" vibe. He just seems like the type if you asked for an autograph or something he'd tell you to *beep* off. Probably wasn't like that until TPB's got more popular, but the more popular the show got the further downhill it went. Should've ended after Countdown to liquor day in my opinion, now they're just feeding off the cash cow and running out of material.
