The show should've ended a long time ago, really. It started to go down in Season 4. 4, 5, and 6 have funny jokes here and there, but overall, they aren't that great. I think people remember them with rose-tinted glasses, but I've just rewatched them and they really aren't very good. In fact, I decided to sell my box set and just get the first three seasons. Season 7 sucks. These new seasons aren't great either, but I don't think they're that much worse than 7. 10 wasn't too bad until the celebrities showed up and that was awful. What really killed the last season for me, and the show, was the absolutely ridiculous reveal about Lahey and Ricky.
In regards to the actors leaving, it doesn't really matter. Ray, Phil Collins, and Lucy were all minor characters. Word going around is that Cyrus won't be back, either. The actor didn't quit the show but the character isn't going to be written into the show anymore. JROC and Trevor gone sucks but, they, too, weren't integral characters. As long as there's the main three and Lahey, they can keep making shows. Should they, though? Eh, who cares, really? People are talking about the integrity of the show, but I think that was gone a long time ago. Ideally, Season 3 would've been the last but 5 would've been OK or 6. Nothing they've done after 6 has been good, so who cares if they do 12 or 13 or 20 seasons? It doesn't matter. I'm not watching anymore because of the Lahey reveal, but I'm not going to cry if they make four or five more seasons because the show hasn't been what it was in over a decade. Even when Clattenburg was still on the show and they had the full cast, the show had gotten silly. Hell, that's one of the reasons why Michael Jackson quit the show. Conky and mountain lions and samsquantches and *beep* That was all in Season 4.
