Update on Season 11

Seeing how there's nothing about "This will be the final season of Trailer Park Boys" then it might just be another one.

reply

Hopefully. I wonder why imdb has 2001-2016 up.

reply

Hopefully? TPB has derailed so much it lost the true essence that the show once had. Now they're milking it until the cow's completely dry.

reply

Cool, thanks.

reply

They are absolutely milking this thing for everything they can. The show was over after season 7 and they should have left it that way. What once could have been a positive lasting memory of a great show is now being trashed by poor writing and actors motivated by nothing more then money. The true essence of TPB's has been lost forever. I'm a die hard fan but I'm also a die hard fan that watched my favorite show slowly die

reply

Jeez, that's a damn shame man.

reply

Don't get me wrong I still love the show and watch it on the reg. But I just don't feel the same way about the newer season's. Do you know what I mean?

reply

No.

reply

Bro if you don't understand what I'm saying about season's 1-7 and season's 8-10 then I'm gonna have to question whether you're a real TPB's fan

reply

i would assume a real trailer park boyys would want more content regardless of whether or not the quality may go down now that most of the trained professionals are gone.. they are doing the best they can with waht they have... of course the quality of seasons 8 - 10 is not going to be top notch like previously , first, they already used up alot of the best ideas and again , they are on their own now.

I would love for them to keep going and working on their skills as writers/directors instead of just bashing the quality deterioriation of the newer seasosn.. i feel thats more something a hater or a troll would do.

so either people have different opinions on what it is to be a trailer park boys or the people that say it should have ended with the earlier seasons have a serious issue with everything have to be perfect quality .... im sure you never watch bad movies that all the actors and crew in it know its bad that simply do the movie because they have fun doing it.. same thing ..

they are not doing it for the money only.. they are obviously enjoying themselves and we said it ourselves, even though its not as good we still entertain ourselves by seeing them in new situations even if not performed as well.

so there ya go.....

reply

That's why I just watch Seasons 1-7 and pretend Seasons 8-10 don't exist.

reply

Absolutely agree bro

reply

I hear you, solid! I still enjoy watching the newer seasons but I won't say they're good. I did like Season 8 a fair amount (hash coins rule) but 9 & 10 were junk, despite some laughs here & there, and everything since 7 has had a greasier-than-thou feel, and not in a good way.

I find it hard to believe so many people are just waiting to hear that the show's been cancelled. I know tons of younger folks who love the new seasons. It's probably not going anywhere for a while. I'll admit that though I'd heavily prefer the show with Clattenburg's leadership, I'm still going to keep watching.

reply

I definitely see where you're coming form Mitch. I want nothing more then for this thing to be great. You're also right saying there are laughs here and there. Clattenburg was definitely the driving force behind seasons 1-7 and did a fantastic job. I am a fan and love this show it's just not the same show anymore

reply

The season 8 opener was great, "water under the fridge" was the best Ricky-ism in a long time. The rest of the season was also good except for the goldfish thing and the puppet episode. 9 sucked something fierce, and 10 was just decent.

I consider myself a die-hard fan as well. Subscriber to swearnet also until recently. I love those guys and I don't begrudge them trying to make some money from TPB, but I have to agree. Season 7 was the true ending of TPB.
I am also pissed that a subscription to Swearnet (being one of the founding *******) does not allow you to watch the new seasons, and I'm not going to re-subscribe to Netflix just to see the seconds of a glimmer of what used to be a great show.
It also didn't help that the Swearnet movie was so bad as to be worse than unwatchable. It actually hurt to watch it.
Count me in with the disappointed.

reply

I don't see there ever being a real ending for TPB until one of "the boys" passes away or quits. Even then, if it's not Smith, he will probably try to keep it going in some form of Sunnyvale or another. I just can't see them ending it...Netflix maybe, but they will always produce something.

reply

the new seasons i still find entertaining...
its all these live movies they have been doing that i am unimpressed with.

reply

yeah the "stand-up" stuff is really bad. Also the last season, ugh, what was that?

I've watched the first 7 seasons of the show over and over, the last season I didn't even finish.

reply

Excatly. I couldn't finish any of the stand-up shows and the new Europe episodes were really bad.
