Hidden Tone

I've never seen this film and have no desire to. I'm just curious about something I read about it back when it came out. The director apparently added an inaudible tone to the soundtrack during the rape scene that causes nausea. Does anyone know if this is true?

Yes...actually, the first 30 minutes of the film have infrasound on the soundtrack.

It can indeed induce nausea, disorientation, etc.
