The film is of course ultra-realistic in the sense that the characters are really PEOPLE. No heroes or villains. Having said that... was THE scene that difficult to watch? She does come across as arrogant and vain.

I think she was a likable character, a woman with flaws and nice qualities both.
The rape scene is horrendous and I don't believe it's supposed to be arousing at all. Me, as a woman, could only watch it once, I have to keep my eyes shut when I see the film. Everytime.
