in one of the scenes where uma is wearing the shirt with the ribbed back and the tiger on the front i love tht shirt and i want it lol i dunno if the movie was suposed to be set in 2002 but i dnt think the constumes really matched the year it looks as though they have all dropped out of the early 90's anyone agree

hahahah OMG i totally remember those outfits in the late 80s esp on jersey girls. if anything they tones it down. The hair wasnt high enough and the cheap chic didnt come through. They did a great job tho and didnt make the girls cartoony caricature. The movies is set in 1987. The bad arsed rock chick look hasnt really disappeared and that fashion pops up ever few years as retro trendy. i think the look had its origins in the late 70s with the punk scene. the shirts easy to make. just slice the back of a t-shirt and but the sleeves off. and have a black bra under to keep things where they need to be.
Uma's look was very Madonna/ 70s disco queen but she looked way better then Madge ever did. Sometimes in the movie when i saw her i thought of Desperately Seeking Susan
