There's more plot in 5 min of "The Bold and the Beautiful" than in the whole movie...
shareYou missed the whole point of the film. The part towards the end when Bobby the bartender says to Uma: ..."you don't see things too clearly".. That sums up the movie right there. Not only did "hysterical blindness" mean the eye condition caused by stress, but it also meant that she was blind and couldn't see what these guys were really about. They just wanted to sleep with her, but she didn't see that.. I thought this movie was great..Films don't always have to have some major, huge, specific plotline..This movie was about the realities of life and for alot of women, we just don't see things as they are.

You definitely have a right not to like this or anything else out there. However, you are definitely in the minority here. Rotten Tomatoes has this rated 70% fresh. It was nominated for and won several awards including Emmy and Golden Globe. I can see why your (prior) professional contact is proud of his work. It's not a problem that this is not your cup of tea...
