Mira Nair, the same woman who made the Namesake and Mississippi Masala, can make a movie this dead on and accurate about 2 whores from NJ in the 80's is amazing. It's the equivalent of Spielberg making a movie about Latino's from the Ghetto. Big props to her....

I love that about her. She took a big risk by doing this film.
I liked that she really went to great lengths to understand the characters, and the way she frames scenes. Anyone else could've taken this film and made cariactures of the characters, they're so easy to make fun of, and she didn't which I thought was brilliant.
