It seems like the hairspray was a huge element throughout the movie which I think was hilarious. Can anyone tell by the scene that Uma got Juliette a new hairspray in the supermarket what brand of hairspray it was?

Also, I think both Uma's and Juliette's heavy eye make-up in the movie were very beautiful. I'm really into this kind of stuffs so I tend to notice these things a lot.

And by the way, I feel like both of them were set to be very self-conscious girls who're very keen on make-up and hair. You can tell by little things they did in several scenes.

The can of hairspray that Debby picked up in the supermarket looked a lot like "Aqua Net". Do they even make "Aqua Net" any more?

It [u]was[/u] Aqua Net. I thought it was funny because that hairspray was THE hairspray of the 80's. Every woman seemed to have a can in their purse.

Yes, my mother who is a retired beauty salon owner still uses it to this day. It's like spraying laquer on your hair, but it works great!

Aqua Net- the quintessential hairspray of the 80's jacked up hair!

Aqua Net was huge in the 80's. And does anyone remember, White Rain hairspray? What happened to that?

Hairspray is very important in North Jersey. I really think there is a hole in the ozone over the state.
