If you're not a fan of the books you might not notice, but in season 3 where they had to wait for a rather important storyline to resolve, and had to invent their own story lines in the meantime.

Basically, any story from then on with a "silly" villain or set in Kagome's world is filler.

Also, you may as well find out now, but they ended the anime somewhere around book 36 out of 56 (not all the books are translated yet).

now im on episode 125

i pesona;llly LOVED the band of 7/mount hakarue sub plot, mainly the mountain

so theres like 42 episodes left, do they maintain the same quality

the shows worth watching for sheshomurue alone

Most people say that it starts to get pretty bad after the Band of 7 thing is finished.

I personally think that it started getting terrible about halfway through the band of 7 arc and just got progressively worse.

I loved InuYasha when i first started watching it around... 5 years ago? (i am probably waaaay off. It was before the times YouTube became sucky and banned every anime under the sun). I only got to the beggining of the Band of 7 arc before i gave up and watch Fullmetal Alchemist and Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad. It deteriorated around then for me.

The first movie was pretty good though.

Yeah, it got VERY repetitive around the time of the Band of 7- once the band was gone, I got pretty bored and the rest of the series just seemed dull. Like that bird monster that is around for several episodes- I was completely bored by that. Hopefully if the anime does return, it can finish up compellingly now that the manga has concluded.

I HAVE SEEN ALL 167 EPISODES AND THOUGHT THE SHOW WAS GREAT. THE BEST CARTOON EVER. THE ONLY KNOCK I HAVE ON THE SHOW IS IT LEAVES YOU HANGIN. THEY NEED TO MAKE MORE EPISODES. I ALSO THINK THEY SHOULD FINISH THE SHOW OFF WITH A MOVIE. SINCE ALL 4 MOVIES WERE OFF THE CHAIN.

Well for me Inuyasha never had been annoying at all, even though some fillers slowed the rythm of the story, like the pantera-cat-clan around episodes 75-77 or from episode 89 to 101, before the appearance of the 7 warriors.
But I don't think it gets boring after the 7 warriors storyline, I kinda liked Hakudoshi, Entei and the quest for the last fragment.
