Who Really killed Rin's family!

You know I just thought about this right now and it makes PERFECT SENSE. Rin had said her family was killed by bandits and so the main killer of her family had to be ONIGUMO. Yea know before he met Kikyo and became Naraku. After all the characters are all connected to Naraku/Onigumo one way or another.

reply

But that happened 50 years ago and I'm sure Rin wasn't around that long ago. Onigumo was alive when Kikyo was alive and she helped him when he was injured and that was 50 years ago so it doesn't make sense.

reply

Oh yea totally forgot about that my bad

reply

Ok, don't totally hate me for this...

Crack!Theory:

Rin is really a demon (why ELSE wouldn't she ever visibly age) and was really 50+ years old. Onigumo did kill her family who were all peaceful demons.

I'm not serious...but feel compelled to write a fanfic about this

Onigumo became Naraku fifty years before the end of the series, much too long ago to have been the bandit who killed Rin's family.

If I recall, it was Koga's tribe. In their first appearance, they traveled with pure wolves, and Rin's tribe was one of those they let the wolves feed on.

InuYasha's party seems to have "forgotten," and mostly their rivalry is over Kagome's affection, but the anime did have a filler episode, where Koga's sidekicks where worried that Sesshomaru would kill him for it.

Oh yeah that's right I forgot about that. I was always annoyed Koga never really paid for that.

Actually I didn't like Koga in general and felt he got off too easy most of the time. We know him and his pack had killed innocent people in the past (and maybe continually do so) and yet we're supposed to just accept him as a main side-character that gets into silly fueds with Inuyasha.

I really wish he had been killed at some point in the series.

Actually, Koga's tribe didn't kill her family (although his wolves did kill Rin). According to http://inuyasha.wikia.com/wiki/Rin: "At one point in her life, Rin had both of her parents and two or more siblings. Her entire family (excluding herself) was slaughtered by a thief when she was younger, and this traumatizing event that she witnessed led to her becoming mute and not speaking to anyone.[1] Because of her family’s mutilation, Rin was ‘taken in’ and ‘raised’ by the other villagers and allowed to continue living in the village. She had her own small hut just on the outskirts of the village, and she lived alone there. It can be assumed that the villagers would often beat her. She is seen being beaten one night at the fishpond and she shows no fear and walks away in a casual manner, without a word or flinch." She had found Sesshomaru recovering in the woods and kept bringing him food. It was at one point when she returned to her hut that she found a thief that Koga's tribe was chasing...Koga ordered his wolves to eat and they slaughtered the whole village. The wolves chased Rin and killed her. Sesshomaru revived her with Tenseiga and the rest, as they say, is history.
