Inuyasha Immortal?

Is Inuyasha immortal? He was shot by Kikyo who put him to TO SLEEP with an arrow, NOT KILLED HIM, but everyone inculdng Kikyo and Inu refer to Inuyasha having died the he was shot. Inuyasha also takes several heavy blow within the series like getting hit with his wind scar and getting punch through the chest several times (leaving gaps that would kill a human), which he came off surviving.

Shippo even said in one episode he was immortal, but demons have died in the series, Inuyasha's father important example, He fought Ryokosye and died shortly after.

So I don't think these demons are immortal but not as mortal (physically weak) as humans.

Orcas are the best.

I always thought that, so long as they don't get fatally wounded or sick, demons could live forever.

There's nothing in the series to suggest that Inuyasha is really immortal. He's longer-lived than a human and much more resilient to injury thanks to being the son of an extremely powerful youkai, but he can be killed, and we see evidence throughout the series that youkai can and do reach various levels of old age.

It's implied that it's the combined power of Kikyou's arrow and the sacred tree, rather than Inuyasha's own power, that kept him in stasis for fifty years. (The "Tragic Love Song of Destiny" two-part episode states outright that Kikyou could have killed him but chose to seal him instead, although this of course is filler).
