If anyone reads ANY news of the final act being dubbed in english...

Post it here PLEEEASE!!

reply

I already did, under the 'Inuyasha: Final Act Question' thread.
But here's the link again, just cuz I'm so nice and was equally excited to read that we'll be getting a dubbed version sometime soon.
Enjoy! ;)

AAAAHHHH YAY!! I didn't think there were going to be any replies so soon but yeah thank you!!! And yes you are so very nice for posting lol. I didn't even know there was a separate thread for the final act. Shows how observant I am.

Thanks again!!!

No problem - glad to be the bearer of good news!
I'm really excited to finally watch the last 26 episodes - I've spoiled myself a bit by watching youtube tribute vids (oops...) but still keen to see (or rather hear) the english voice actors' version of 'Inuyasha: The Final Act', as I really enjoy all of the voice work for each character - the only one that can be occasionally grating is Monica Stori's 'Kagome' - just a bit too juvenile and not enough emotion sometimes.
I'm still finishing up the original series - I'm on episode 150 and still have the 4th film to watch. Sad, that it's drawing to a close, but at least we have 'The Final Act' dvds to look forward to! ;)

Definitely. I just wish it was more than 26 episodes. So much of the manga was left out... =(

The fourth movie is really good. Kinda pointless but still very entertaining. And I couldn't agree more on Kagome's voice. I love the character, it's a shame the voice actor makes her sound so whiny all the time.

reply

I read that David Kaye won't be back to voice Sesshomaru, which totally sucks. Someone named Daingerfeild? is voicing him now. I also read that the girl that voiced Kagome won't be back either. I can't remember the name of the girl replacing her though.

reply

What??? Nooo!!!!!! That's not fair it's only 26 episodes!!

reply

That's what I said! Sesshomaru's voice was my favorite. His voice was the sole reason I hated watching the original w/ subtitles.

reply

that sucks that the whole cast wont be back, but i prob wont notice too bad because i havent watched the show in awhile. i was gonna go back and watch all the series and the movies waiting for this to come out but i prob wont now due to different voice actors. i cant stand it the new season of bleach kommura(sp?) voice was changed not that big of a deal cuz he only says 3 words a season but still enought to piss me off:)

reply

What's wrong with just subtitles? Not sure about you guys, but the english voice cast never could capture the emotion as well as the original japanese voice actors.

reply

Yes, I've heard of the recent news as well. It's good that there is a dub in the making, at least, even if not all of the original voice cast is included, most notably Sesshomaru and Kagome, is that right?

reply

Unfortunately yes... :( It's hard to imagine anyone replacing them. They both have pretty unique voices

K, seriously - what's with the hold up on releasing (or at least announcing the release date) of the North American DVD set for Inuyasha: The Final Act?
It's been well over a year since the series aired in Japan - and we had confirmation last spring that the English Dub was already being recorded.
So how long can it really take to put together this last set of DVDs?
I've held out this long without cheating and watching the English Subbed/Japanese one's this long, cuz I love the English voice actor's for Inuyasha and Miroku (and Sesshomaru, but sadly he's not returning..), and cuz I hate watching bad quality, tiny vids online - but I'm starting to wonder whether we'll ever get a release date.
Frustrating! >:(

It's really frustrating. I keep trying to find a release date somewhere or clips or something but there's nothing. I tried to not watch the subbed eps but I caved lol. Don't do it, it just makes waiting for the dubbed version harder.

I don't know anymore about the final act being dubbed in english.
But some of you haven't even watched it because it hasn't come out in english dub yet????
You guys are seriously missing out! The Final Act is fantastic!!
I actually prefer the english sub versions of all the animes I watch.
I downloaded the series via torrent and the vids are excellent quality.

For me, Inuyasha is the type of show that I 'listen' to at work either on my iPod or streaming online (I don't always actually watch the video since that would be counterproductive to my work). So for me, English subs wouldn't work...hence why I have to wait for the English dub to be released.

Yeah, I tend to fluctuate in which versions (Japanese or English) I prefer when it comes to different anime series & films.
For instance I love love love the Japanese voice actors for 'Howl's Moving Castle' and the series 'Vampire Knight' (especially the guy voicing Zero - Hot!)
But, I dunno...I just really like all of the English voice actors' on Inuyasha (save for whiny Kagome) a bit better than the Japanese version. I think this is mostly to do with Inuyasha himself, Richard Ian Cox just does the *perfect* Inuyasha and I find it so fitting for the character.
Anyways...I'm just gunna keep holding out to watch the series until they finally release a North American version...I only cheated with watching two very crucial scenes from Final Act by watching them on YouTube and they were Kikyo's death scene (so moving! Inuyasha cried! Agh! And the music!) and when Inuyasha and Kagome finally kissed (meh, Inuyasha and Kikyo's last kiss had more emotion in it for me...but I was pleased with both of them)

I just started re-watching all the seasons waiting for the final act to be Eng dubbed.

They have them out on DVDs at Wal-Mart now. But only the 2nd part sadly, if you wanted the 1st part you'll have to order it online.
I got'em both on Blue-ray. Wished the whole series were on Blue-ray also. It'll be way more better. Trust me.
