I just recently finished the MANGA. It seemed a bit to rushed for me and I didn't like the ending. I don't like how Kikyo was all of a sudden thrown out of the picture and died. I think it would have been better if KAGOME had wished that KIKYO had turned INUYASHA HUMAN or that KIKYO never took in NARAKU thereby making sure that INUYASHA did turn human. That way Kikyo ends up with INuyasha. And in the future, KAGOME can get INUYASHA's REINCARNATION in the future. Everyone's happy.
I disagree entirely. While I wasn't a hundred percent thrilled with the three-years-later epilogue chapter, I liked everything else about the ending just fine, and I think that what you suggest would have been contrary to everything the manga had been building up to from the first chapter - particularly given that Kikyou and Kagome establish that a person's reincarnation is not that same person but, instead, has their own individuality... and that the series has always indicated that Kagome loving Inuyasha as a hanyou is better than Kikyou wanting Inuyasha to become human.

KIKYO fell in love with INuyasha when he was a half demon. The only reason Kikyo wanted Inuyasha to be human was to purify the SACRED Jewel and live her days off as a regular woman instead of a priestess. She didn't force him to become human, she suggested it and Inuyasha agreed. And she fell in love with INuyasha because they were both alike, She was a priestess who couldn't be a normal woman so she always felt like an outsider and Inuyasha was a half-demon who also felt like an outsider. That's why she said she couldn't kill him. And KAGOME represented everything that KIKYO wanted to be but couldn't because she was a priestess thereby not letting her be a normal woman. To me they don't share the same personality but they do share the same soul. The differences in personality is a result of their lives. Kikyo was duty bound so she couldn't live the life of a selfish and care free teenager like KAGOME. If KIKYO hadn't been a priestess I think she and KAGOME could have had the same personality.
I didn't like the ending either. It seemed kinda rushed even though it took them forever to make it. Some characters didn't even get a ending. I wonder what happened to Koga. Kikyou and Kagome do not have the same personality to me. Kikyou is more serious and more aware of things if its going to happen and was less clingly. Kagome is alot more carefree and doesn't think about the situation until it happens. Kikyou was alot more mature. The only reason InuYasha did give Kagome a chance was because she looked like Kikyou (but to me they looked nothing alike, because of the eyes and hair)It could have had something to do with the era. But can you honestly imagine Kikyou prancing around like a school girl like Kagome? And worrying about getting a date with the hottest guy in school? I don't think I can.
What made it so weird was that she left her family for a guy I mean yeah he's hot but he ages slower than her when she's like what 50 he'll be 23? Ehh..

I never said they had the same personality. In fact I said the exact opposite. I said that they had completely different personalities but shared the same soul. And KAGOME represented everything KIKYO wanted to be but couldn't. Remember how she said that she wanted to be a normal woman. Remember in the episode TRAGIC LOVE SONG OF DESTINY" where she envied all the girls who were experimenting with make up and just being regular girls. I think KAGOME represented everything KIKYO wanted to be. Ofcourse it's different seeing as they are both from different ERA's but KIKYO really wanted to be a normal woman.
No! Kagome and Inuyasha are meant to be together! Kikyo shouldn't have tried to turn Inuyasha human, cause to me THOSE reasons were selfish! She didn't want to be a Priestess anymore, so she decided to use Inuyasha to get what she wanted. Did Inuyasha know that? I don't think so, he was just despirate for companionship.
Think about it- if he HAD succeeded in being human with Kikyo, she might have been his only friend, and he would spend the rest of his life believeing it's bad to be different. With Kagome he's accepted for who and what he is, and THAT'S real love- accpeting you JUST the way you are! Kagome's not selfish- she was brought up differently. But she loves Inuyasha unconditionally, and THAT'S real love! Also along with Kagome came Shippo, Miroku, and Sango- three friends who also didn't care he was a half demon. REAL friends who he never would have met without Kagome! That's why Kagome is better for him.

I agree with the fact that the end was kinda rushed and it let me a strange feeling. First, we don't know if Kagome can come back to her world : she was sad without Inuyasha and she let her mum, brother and grandpa alone. Plus the fact we see Sota taking care of his sick grandfather, it seems she abandoned her family for never see them anymore. I wish they would have said something about her coming back to her world regularly.
Secondly, Koga is never mentioned anymore after having his shards removed. He was supposed to love Kagome and he was just written out the story! I'm sure the anime would have included him at some point at the end, maybe married to Ayame. Hachi, Miroku's racoon friend, also never reappeared.
Then, the Sesshomaru-Sango plot never had its conclusion, even though Sango eventually protected Rin with her mask, risking her own life, it would have been nice to have Sesshormaru telling they were even.
Finally, the rest was nice : Rin living with Kaede and Sesshomaru still caring for her. Shippo training on his own and still having conflicts with Inuyasha. Sango and Miroku together. Kohaku finally happy. And Inuyasha still being an hanyou, I wouldn't have liked him becoming a helpless human.
I just wish the anime would continue coz I'm sure it would filled those plot holes and wouldn't rush the ending.
The ending was fine, Koga deserved to be written out because he was a terrible character in fact he should have just remained a minor one-arc-only villain. He was like the Renji of Inuyasha only more annoying. The only things I felt were odd about the ending were that Kagome seemed to just completely abandon the real world(not that I can blame her but it seemed rushed) and that Kagome and Inuyasha didn't kiss. I wasn't pissed off that they didn't I just found it really weird and it made it seem incomplete.
Um, did you guys see the ending that I saw? I just watched it not even an hour ago and everyone keeps saying Koga didn't have an ending or he should've married Ayame. Well hello there, he did marry her. His 2 friends that always followed him around from his tribe even made a comment about Ayame keeping him on a short leash after what it looks like, after the wedding like a reception. I do wish he was part of the final battle. And second of all, Kagoma and Inuyasha did kiss on the last episode. It was once he made his 2nd mado-sengatsu or however it is called to find Kagome with the shikon jewel in the darkness. And I think the bone eaters well re-opened up once more because of Kagome's tears and wish to see Inuyasha again, cause I think the jewel and the well were both connected somehow, so it granted her wish. And the grandpa wasn't sick, just high gastric acid.
Some of ya need to re-watch the last episode again hm?
