Do you feel sorry for Naraku?
His demise is so sad. All he ever wanted was Kikyo's love. He is just like Anakin Skywalker.

I just started watching again, and episode 21 being the last seen. I never thought about it before, but his whole self, just the way he came into being is pathetic, mostly when he was Onigumo on his deathbed.
"...Due to cruel circumstances that would not be allowed to happen quite that easily..."
He was kind of a prisoner of himself. For most of the series he was a pretty one-dimensional villain, but they started to touch on his more complicated aspects a bit at the very end of The Final Act. I think the way he finally ended, when his human side seemed to take over and he found peace as he died when the Shikon jewel was destroyed, was a satisfying, if somewhat unexpected, conclusion.
shareNo I do not feel sorry for him. He is much more ruthless than Berg Katse.
But it is still kinda sad that he was burned to a crispy crisp and then mummified. And before his death he changed entirely, now realizing what it's like to be at peace. But he never really expressed regret towards his harm towards others.
