I Felt Robbed ***(Spoilers)***

After harry had been shot and thrown into the elevator, he felt a rage inside him and went back up to the man who had killed his wife. I expected to see a small fight scene or something, but instead we saw him run into that stupid dark place, and then a bunch of weird noises and little images, and then he was in the hosital talking about how he had killed the man. Although it may be considered original, i ffelt a little robbed that we didn't get to see a fight scene, or murder sequence of some sort. Did anyone else feel the same?

Honestly, I think that it was wll justified not to show any fight or struggle, seeing as how this movie tries to leave you with a "was it/was it not" type of ending. We don't know if the killer was real or not, if it was Turturro or not, so in showing a final kill scene, the whole doubt side of the movie would have been lost. If you want to see a final revenge scene with guns and punches, stick with Steven Segal.

Did anyone else think that it could be a simple ending like me? Where the man Turturro killed was taken away by the police force and the whole murder was covered up to save their identity?

I think you hit it right on the dot.
I don't even see how people can bring up the whole schizo idea.
I feel that its clearly obvious that while Turturro had some sort of mental problem(his wife was killed while she was pregant), he's fully there.
He goes and murders the cop out of rage. He's put in the hospital for the gunshot wound, and the other bad cops cover it up, not wanting the information to get out about their whole "corrupt cop" scheme.
The one cop drives him out there and lets him leave. He releases the pictures because his job is done.

Brilliant, someone else who agrees with me. This film doesn't have to be a weird psycho-thriller, the ending seemed pretty simple to me. Anyway, as I mentioned in another post, he didn't imagine those corrupt cops talking in the room, that was given to the viewer to see.

Maybe you are in the truth and policemen are hiding everything...but..whos that man we cannot see at the end of the movie talking with the police?and what about the coincidence of the town, turturro had been there before...why?? and..why does turturro watch her wife entering to the murder house??

reply

Well, I think the filmmakers sort of explain the mystery of the wife going into the house by the interviewer telling Harry that "no one really knows everything about somebody..."
