I understood the film on the whole, and i think that there was no fear at all... It should have been named 'Grief' or 'Grief and Torment' because thats what Caine really feels... perhaps fear of the unknown, yes... but mostly grief and torment.

As long as you don't call it 'X The Unknown' now that was a good film.
