was it harry's face or peter's? did it signify the two main characters in the film. a bit like fight club if that is the case. there are key moments when harry/peter could be one in the same.
also peter had a wife AND a boy child. was this harry imagining his alternate life with HIS murdered missus?????/
I think it was Peter's face, and it resembled the pixilated face shown to Harry at the beginning of the film. It's that realization that sets him off on his asking Peter why he killed his wife.

shareI remember thinking that it was Harry's face, and what it symbolized was the upsurgence of his anger. In the end, his anger boils over and it is pictorially rendered as a 5 minute long series of red bubbling clips and disturbing images.
