The irony. He was happy in present timeline

I could not help but notice how good his life was in real timeline. He was in college. Had friend. Was good study. Had one night stands. No black outs for 7 years. His life was perfect.

His mom did the right thing. She MOVED from that environment and those friends that were stressing him out and were bad for him. She left everything behind, sold the house and it did wonder to mental health of her child. This is what should do every mother in those movies where kids are being bullied or have bad influence. If nothing helps - move. You child will find new friends. Hopefully this time better.

It wasn't his fault that those 3 others didn't turned out better. Also Kayleigh said she emancipated from her abusive father at 15 years old. Which is 2 years from the time Evan moved. It's like - where did she go? It means she was free from him and her brother. She was working at diner and had her life somehow.

Lenny would not end up in that near closed mind state Evan found him in. With building planes and sitting home all days. When his friends and Tommy were out of the picture - he would move on.

And remember that Evan didn't care about any of them for 7 years. He moved on. Then suddenly was all about: "I need to save my friends".

It was more like he accidentally went back in time. Screw things up and they all either died and end up in psychward. So he felt it was his fault NOW and he has to fix it. But he really should have stayed in original timeline.
