I liked DARK SKIES much better. Identical premise but DS had more real historical people and tied the story to real historical events. DS was much more fast paced and exciting. I looked forward to each new episode to see what 1960's events they would feature. TAKEN was too slow paced with fewer historical referances.
shareI haven't seen DS and I don't think I want to because on the bonus disc Eric Close says it's much different than Taken. Taken had all kinds of real historical refrences. It starts out with the Foo Fighters which were reported by WWII pilots, then there is Roswell, mention of Ken Arnold, the pilot who reported "flying saucers" in the sky over Washington state, Betty & Barney Hill who Howard & Marty brought to Owen Crawford'd attention were real people who were the first to claim abduction by aliens, the UFO confrences of the late 50's & 60's, the Cuban missle crisis, & the Vietnam war
