Episode four made me ANGRY

Episode four made me very angry. The crowd torched lester even after they knew he saved the little girl, the girl's mother did nothing to stop it, the sheriff who killed larry got away with it, just treated the grandfather like he was nothign, and you find out the twins were just acting in self-defense because the town kept harassing them anyway. That and Lester just let them kill him. Plus it serves no purpose to the story, as they were a failed experiment anyway.

It served to show that it was a very difficult experiment & that there are setbacks in experiments. Obviously the aliens got a better result with Jacob than they did with the twins. I don't think the twins were merely defending themselves to start with. Looking at Lester had the same effect on Sam & he meant Lester no harm, just like Lester meant Sam no harm. The twins couldn't control their powers. I think the reason Lester was allowed to be killed was because the twins had scared people away, ruining the local economy

It's been a long time since I saw it, but that seems familiar. I just wish that there had been some retribution or justice, though how it could have been done, who knows.
