One question about Allie's football shoes.

This might be a pretty small thing, but I always find it weird that Allie is playing football wearing sneakers. Is it because her family was poor and they couldn't afford proper shoes? I haven't look well enough if the other kids are playing with football shoes, but I do remember that when I was playing junior football no kid was allowed to play without having proper equipment.

Actually when I noticed the shoes was after the events on the football field. Perhaps the people working on the show didn't notice that Allie has different shoes when playing football than right after.
(I really should watch this show again and make note of those shoes.)

I just made a small observation when I saw a junior football team eating a restaurant that I was also in. It was a very young team of girls (around 5-7 year-olds, I'd say). It seems that no one in that team had football shoes and they all were wearing sneakers.

Well - football shoes are quite awful to walk on (on hard surfaces) so it's still a possibility that the team had changed their shoes to sneakers when off field; Which Allie wouldn't have time as he run away straight from a match.
