This is a great series.
Will
1) The third and fourth series ever be shown on UK Channel 4?
2) Will series 2-4 ever be released on Region 2?
Anyone?

To my uncertain knowledge the region coding is illegal

Not sure I understand you. I meant will they ever release the DVDs on Region 2 (i.e. British DVD).

The Secret Life Of Us boxsets I've seen have all been region-free - they work on any DVD player, from 0-6. Try eBay, that's where I got mine from and I'm in England.

The third series was shown on Channel 4 (early in 2004) and not too long after they aired Series 2. What annoyed me was that they did not bother to advertise either series. Series 4 was shown in Ireland but it is unlikely that it will be shown in the UK. You can also get Series 2-4 at hmv.au (australian HMV) which is where I bought mine.

I wrote to Channel 4 enquiring about series 4 after hearing they held the rights. Unfortunately they said they do not have any plans for showing it in the near future....

Having recently been in Oz, I watched an episode from it and although different without some of the major characters such as Evan, Richie, Gab etc, it was very good and a shame that its not being shown over here.

The final series wasn't bad. Best thing to do is buy the box set and soak it all up at will.

You can get Season 3 and 4 at Ezydvd.com.au and it's region free.

I play the disks in America just fine. And since the UK is a PAL country you don't have to worry about having a DVD player with PAL playback.

I have the six British DVDs covering the first series, I can't remember if I watched the second series, I guess I did, but I remember that they put the third series on ridiculously late on Channel 4.

The only option is to buy a region free DVD player and import the DVDs unfortunately.

You can get all 4 seasons at www.hmoesick.com.au for about £91 including shipping from Australia, and they are region 1-6. I've just ordered them!
