I just watched this movie last night and when it came to Francis threatening Freddie, nothing happened apart from him eating his face. However, when I was little, I remember hearing the whole movie (my family watched it and I was sleeping right next to the TV). Anyways, in that scene I mentioned, I recall Francis actually stapling his eyes, and taunting him by having him say his name, did I watch a different version of the film?
shareMust be a confusion. Neither in this movie, nor in the other adaptation does Dolarhyde actually do anything to Lounds that involves a stapler. Both times Dolarhyde merely threatens to staple Lounds' eyelids to his forehead if he keeps refusing to open his eyes.
shareIn the NBC show Hannibal, season 3 just started..(6-4-15), and I'm not sure at what point in the season it will be, the Dollarhyde story is going to be a part of it. Season 3 that is. I've always been a fan of the film series. The prequel that is-was Manhunter, then it's remake Red Dragon is my fave one of all the films. Seeing how everything comes to be is fascinating. That's why the show is a success. Lastly, it ties everything together for you, loose ends etc. I am amazed that NBC shows it. It is sick. And honestly I find it a hella scarier than the films!
