What was the Professor making originally....

hi all, i notioced this, the girls were made from sugar, spice & everything nice then chemical x was "accadentlly" added to create the Powerpuff girls. but the professor says as he's running round the house. "I wanted to create little girls who could help the town". so why is is a shock when they have there powers since he was making them to start with! also at the end the girls offer to take antidote x to make themselves powerless but since there gentic make up is mostly chemical x, they wouldn't be human, the'd just cease to exist...am i wrong on this?

he didnt plan for the chemical to be in there-he wanted nice girls who were a bit grown up to help the towns people-not neccesaily super heroes who werent at the right age to control their powers
chemical x only added powers-sugar spice and everything nice was the girls so if they drank it and it "displaced itself" or something-only their powers would be removed
(im guessing lol)

Note that in our real world it will never work. But I'm not sure honestly. The Narrator did say the Professor wanted to create the perfect little girls. That made me think of the Powerpuff Girls. But when the Narrator said "But he accidentally added an extra ingriedient. Chemical X..." So that means he is originally going to make ordinary little girls like those we see in one of the episodes.
