is this the first movie featuring "Running" zombies?

heard it somewhere but not too sure..anyone care to shed some light ?

I thought so, too, for many years. Until I saw Dan O'Bannons "Return Of The Living Dead" again, which was released in 1985. These Zombies are running, too.
I'm still not sure if these are the first zombie runners in cinema.

Night of the Living Dead has a running zombie in it as well that was in 1968. It was the cemetery zombie, you see him running to catch the car when Barbara releases the emergency brake.

Obscure but definitely on point - "Garden of the Dead" (1972) features dead chain-gang prisoners who had been addicted to sniffing formaldehyde rising and attacking anybody they could get... And they were running.
I enjoyed it but I don't recommend it. It runs under an hour but still seems long.

They are infected humans who are very much alive not dead zombies.
