Give me a reasonable explanation for this

So.. some douche cut off everyones electricity and water? These things just work on by themselves when no one turns the machines off. How else, beside someone cutting everybodies water and electricity facilities off (which would be very evil), could they not have electricity and water?

some answers here: http://www.answers.com/Q/How_long_can_a_power_plant_run_unmanned , here: http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/archive/index.php/t-211015.html , here: http://www.quora.com/How-long-will-power-plants-run-unmanned-if-hypothetically-every-human-being-ceased-to-exist ...

power generation and distribution is not fully automated and requires a lot of human input at various stages. water treatment facilities rely on power generation to pump water, and also require human input themselves, as well as continual delivery of treatment chemicals. info from a water treatment employee pontificating on apocalypse here: https://omegamanjournal.wordpress.com/2012/03/04/grid-shutdown-how-long-will-the-water-last/

Here's another question...
What are the eco-terrorists going to do with the chimps once they have been released?

Crate them back to Africa??
Take them home and keep them as pets??
Donate them to a zoo, complete with the Rage??

or is this being trivial, Hell, breaking into a research chicken farm wouldn't be half as dramatic?

I don't have a problem with that scene. Activists of all stripes go full retard when they become extremists. Extremists almost invariably just want to get their rocks off (in this case breaking into a lab and freeing the animals), rarely applying reason or logic to what they do, or considering the consequences.

Are you people serious?, you think they'd just release them into the streets?. That might happen in movies like this one or (the MUCH superior) 12 Monkeys, but in reality that's NOT how these groups work. They'd take them to some sanctuary in the country, they'd have it all planned.

And if you want to see actual terrorists take a look at friggin ISIS.

Was this a serious thread? Do you think these things run on magic?

reply

No they don't run on magic but it's only been a few days. It runs on by itself when no one turns it off. At least for a few days. At least that's what I think, they got to have some safety back-up thing going on there

Only been a few days? The movie is called 28 days later for a reason.

Your reply seems SO unnecessary and yet necessary at the same time. Too funny.

give me a stage where this bull here can rage and though I can fight I'd much rather recite.

Couldn't help but laugh when I saw that...

And I think 28 days would be plenty of time for things to go to *beep*

Side note, really hate when asking someone if they've seen this movie and then asked "Oh, the Sandra Bullock movie?" NO!!!! lol

reply

But that's exactly what happened, these things got loose on the streets!

Spoiler alert for them spoil sports out there! Y'all like spoiled milk, stop crying over it!
