28 hours later or 28 Months Later?

Which idea would be better for the studios to approach first? A prequel explaining the events leading up to the evacuation in London and 28 Days Later. Or should they go ahead and approach the conclusion for the series making it a trilogy aka 28 Months Later. I feel like the writers and the studios are being so ignorant to a great series that did very well critically with 28 Days and 28 weeks later both. So many of the creators seem to be in denial of its success or there in just complete denial of expanding the series for some retarded reason and I mean REALLY Fing retarded reason. Whether their scared that it won't match the success of the previous 2 films or make the box office very well could be a couple of reasons.

But overall i'm just tired of feeling like Boyle is really the only one on board with exploring the series further. The writer of the series doesn't have any faith in it and the studios are just not showing the interest they should. Which is a real shame. A God Damn shame really. Because in my opinion the 28 days later series is the greatest modern day zombie films of our time and actually frightened a lot of audiences around the world and was really the first film to bring back the popularity of the zombie genre. Now we are depending on films like World War Z and Resident Evil to do the same just to name a few?? Really!? If your going to make a zombie film you need the right director such as Danny Boyle and a writer and score that can build a dark and dreadful atmosphere while imposing the force of violence and horror that zombies can address and did so well in both 28 days later and 28 weeks later.

Now a days I feel like zombie films are going down the drain FAST. There losing there credibility as an effective horror genre and audiences just aren't feeling the deliverance they should with the other newer zombie films out there.

When are we ever going to see the comeback of the good horror films again and especially well developed zombie films???

I'd go with a sequel

It doesn't matter, IMDB has removed the 28 months later imdb page. Danny Boyle would rather make a sequel to Trainspotting..... what a doucher

Actually you have a great point. It seems Garland's career has been plagued (at least lately) with his films not making the money they deserve. With this recent zombie craze, one would think the 28 days crew would want to strike while the iron is hot - they have a loyal fanbase that wants another entry and the market is ideal. Perhaps the lack of going forward is Alex Garland making a really extreme point that the things in the 28 story AREN'T zombies haha..

There is not going to be a sequel or prequel for one reason... 28 Weeks Later. 28 Weeks Later was a disaster.. It made less than the original.. the thrill is gone. I know some people liked the sequel but to me it was terrible... I rather they just leave well enough alone unless it's a sequel that will have Cillian and Naomie reprising their roles... If not let it be...

I'd go with 28 hours later

Johnny: I'm gonna kill a bunch of people.

By 28 Months, there is no more mystery and the whole world knows what's going on.

But in 28 hours it's a lot creepier because of the confusion and how fast the virus spreads. It would be like the 2011 London Riots but with lunatics...
