Refracting water effects

I don’t think anyone else has mentioned this but having finally having just watched this film, one thing throughout that bugged me was the effect of refracting, shimmering light on the water.....throughout the internals of the ship.....even where no water was collected!

Granted this was fine - and worked - in the areas that were flooded; there is naturally a body of water there (although I don’t know where that much natural light would be coming from to refract about so much!).

However, it seemed to be everywhere....even though there was NO water on the floor (although often you could hear water dripping and trickling from somewhere) for example in the ballroom.

It got really distracting and tiresome, but then I thought is it a trick in the story and they are actually all dead and the ship is actually under water, because that’s what that effect was producing!?!
