Ummm, RADAR stands for "RAdio Direction And Ranging," and uses microwaves to bounce off of metal objects.
SONAR stands for "SOund Navigation And Ranging," and is what submarines, whales/dolphins and bats echolocate with.
Well neither is technically what Daredevil has. He doesn't send out sonar waves either. "Radar sense" is just a shorthand way to describe the power rather than "see the outline of everything all around me sense" just like they say Superman has X-ray vision, but he doesn't actually use X-rays, he just sees through things.
