Convincing

At the end when DD leaves the cafeteria, the music is very nicely composed... CGI, many goods things in this decent movie.

I guess it's not highly rated because there is no (romantic) happy-end, but remember this was so in the comic, Daredevil just had to stay alone (like 007, Mike Hammer.. many).

Edit : The idea of viewing by the mean of rain is also in Dino Risi's Scent of a Women (1974)!

...but I thought Mark Johnson (very inexperienced at the time) had a good stab at it.
Get the DC. The movie is great, but the documentary Giving the Devil His Due alone is worth the price of purchase. Yes, Johnson was inexperienced, but he had the movie right from the get go. The way Arad and Forster ran over him and forced those changes on his movie is the real crime. And to sit and listen to those two tell us the theatrical release is the better film and the DC is just a flippancy is gob smacking.
But there are still those out there blaming this nebulous thing called 'Fox' for these types of movies.
