Sandbag scene

What the? That was so odd! She sets up an intricate system of sandbags dropping from the ceiling to train. I can't see any plausible reason for doing that, you'd know where they were going to drop anyway so it's not like you're caught by surprise.

Haha, it was definitely odd. I think, if they had more time, they probably would have included the fact that Elektra had house help and/or a butler of some sorts (they did establish she had a bodyguard). I mean, there's no way she and her father lived alone in that big old mansion!

Maybe the idea was someone was assisting her with the sandbags, dropping them randomly. Like some sort of trainer. But as it was, it was definitely weird...almost overwhelmingly cheesy because it made no sense on its own.

But then again, it wasn't an Elektra movie -- it was a Daredevil movie. They probably couldn't justify fully fleshing her, and her own world, out. However, even in her own spin-off movie it STILL looked like she, her dad, and her then-alive mom were alone in their mansion (based on most of the flashbacks, except that one time when they showed house help covering up the furniture after her mom's death).

Seems like a lot of work to set up constantly for training.

Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that I'll be over here looking through your stuff.

Not to mention the cleanup. That's a lot of sand lying all over.
