It's crazy how he didn't even realize he was insulting Leticia when he said "n*g ger juice". It was just like he was talking to one of his buddies. That's how a lot of people are. They are so submersed in their ignorance till they think it is normal.

Remember, he was a racist (I think Sonny had some of his 'qualities' as well) through and through, so it really didn't surprise me the way he treated her, and he probably doesn't treat his 'friends' to much better. Your last two lines says it all, and I really believe that racist pops was the one peeking through the bird cage hole at Sonny and Leticia, hoping he could get in on the action somehow (saying one thing but doing another fits into their profile).

I am watching this now and Lawrence has just been put into the separate cell for his last night. he begins freaking out and crying, sonny is trying to console him like a best friend who is not afraid to show his emotions. he was also nice to those black kids from down the road.

shareAGREED when leticia stormed off after Buck insulted her.. buck was like hey son were family we need to stick together... so that was the last straw Hank had enough Buck had destroyed his WHOLE entire family and since Leticia was pretty much all Hank had and Buck nearly ruins it.. so he had to get rid of once and for all. I agree - grandpa was watching Leticia very closely to see what kind of a reaction he is going to provoke. So the SOB knew what he was doing.
btw when they show Hank going into the house afterwards even his back looks !!pissed off!! BBT is a fine fine actor
