They 'cleaned' the sex scene....

...because you can no longer see Bill's c*ck when she's riding him in the blu-ray. That particular scene is ZOOMED IN so you can no longer see his stuff (like you could in the DVD). Kinda confirms that it WAS real sex and they didn't want to show it in hi-def.

what? no movie in the history of ever can show a hard dick on screen. that makes it nc-17. and they dont ever ever have real sex in movies. thats just common knowledge.

Im the boss.

not sure if I agree with you here trigun 78, because who's to say it wasn't done in a way that would make us 'think' it wasn't real?? Just wondering here. Also, when this film first came out, we'd heard that that were quite a few 'scenes' that had to be cut, and that some of them had to do with that NC-17 rating, so I really can't say but that scene in particular looked so very authentic (as did the one with the "signature series" scenes). As for your comment, "no movie in the history of ever can show a *hd* on screen, the way things are going I don't think we're too far from that happening.

I've read that some sex scenes in mainstream movies are real (example, "The Name of the Rose"). Although, this is rare. Certainly, it's fairly common that actor and actress who meet on the set often hook up off-screen.

I take it you haven't seen "Lie with Me".

Never seen "Brown Bunny," have you?

The MPAA isn't infallible. Some things slide under the radar. Maybe they removed it once people examined the penis more closely and there was controversy.

So I posted this thread 5 years ago, I guess more people have noticed by now. I'm quite fascinated, because I have noticed similar "zoom-ins" in other HD movies. Why would they do it, if not to cover up that it was actually real sex happening?

Yep. They've kept in on the downlow for years but people aren't stupid: it was very obviously unsimulated sex. A major studio with A-list actors is not going to admit that they allowed unsimulated sex to go down on a set, otherwise they've effectively turned themselves into a porn studio but it happens and, in this case, they didn't do enough to disguise it when the movie first came out so they've been wrapping up loose ends for years and this DVD editing is just another move to cover what went down onset.

Notice Halle's career nosedived afterward. That scene was Halle selling her soul for an Oscar; Hollywood didn't allow her to continue success afterward.

reply

Yes she really nosedived doing those James Bond and X-Men and Kingsman and John Wick movies. Might as well be making straight-to-video titles.

Yeah, I was about to say, lol

Na that's throwing her a bone (no pun intended) to keep her quiet

To go from Academy award winner to Bond girl or Baddy's henchwoman is a massive comedown

reply

It was real sex with only 3 people in the room! The actors and director.
