My father used to know the real Jeffrey Dahmer...

They weren't that close, but they knew each other in elementary school. They were classmates until my father's family moved to Chicago. Dad always said that he was a real shy and quiet kid, and barely had any friends even when he was young.

Of course no one thought that he'd grow up to be one of the most notorious serial killers, so keep in mind guys, the quiet shy kid you once knew when you were small, could very well grow up to be a psychopath...

Hell, remember in "Billy Madison"... the infamous list "People To Kill"...

That is classic!

And then you have Ted Bundy and John Wayne Gacy, who were outgoing and successful.

Bundy was classified as high Factor 1 psychopath. The components of a factor 1 psychopath include a grandiose sense of self, pathological lying, conning-manipulative behaviors, lack of remorse, lack of empathy, and failure to accept responsibility. (until his death Bundy did not take responsibility for his actions, blaming his actions on porn movies)

Jeffrey Dahmer on other hand was repeatedly diagnosed with borderline personality disorder by both clinical psychologists and prison psychiatrists. He also had "side", or less severe diagnoses which included major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, substance use disorder, and paraphilias.

Jeffrey Dahmer was a very atypical serial killer. Even til this day his psychological case is debated on. Too bad he got murdered, I wish we could have learned more about his 'transformation' from innocent young boy to the man he became.
