What Do You Think Of Jeremy Renner?

Personally, I think he's one of the great undiscovered talents in Hollywood. This guy has got the goods, but unfortuneately, he hasn't really had the chance to show how good of an actor he is except in cases like this film Dahmer and North Country.

If you're a fan of Jeremy Renner, you really have to check out The Outsideman. It's some of his best work -- and best yet, he plays a GOOD GUY instead of his usual "heavy."

You can download it free and legally here:

Definitely a must see for any Renner fan.

I totally agree. he's talented, and buff too.

It's the way they convey vulnerability" in their roles. And they also have the same mannerisms and eyes.

I think Jeremy Renner totally made this film worthwhile. This could have been a piece of exploitive trash, but Jeremy made me care. I hope to see more of him in the future.

such an untapped acting resource. his garbled northern accent was so ideal for this role... every syllable, movement. really wonderful. not to mention he looked awfully grungy. I also was impressed with how he could look 30-something and then pass easily as 17 in the very next scene.

I totally agree with you, I thought the 'age change' was amazing!

Thank you for supporting him back then. You placed trust in the right guy. He is the big star now with Hurt Locker and Bourne and big projects, but I think it's Dahmer that made him a really star. I've just known him for some newest blockbusters like Avengers. His role was pretty small but he caught my eyes at once. Since then, I searched deeper about him and found this film and he just blew me away.

The pleasure in supporting Jeremy Renner back then was all mine, but I'm delighted to see how his career has really taken off in the past few years.

I knew very little about him when I made that point, other than being extremely impressed with his performance in "Dahmer." Since then, I've seen him in many others films and TV appearances, and he's always a pleasure to watch. He's also a superb singer and, by all accounts, a genuinely nice guy. Did you see him on the Jimmy Kimmel show a few years ago, where he shocked the host with his musicianship?

Coincidentally, last week I rewatched "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford," in which Jeremy has a significant role early in the film.

I look forward to seeing what his future holds, and where he leads, I will follow!

He's great. You oughta see him in "Twelve and Holding" too.

What do I think of him? Hot!

I think his voice (in this movie) reminds me of Johnny Depp in movies like "Blow" and "Donnie Brasco"

The way the pitch and volume of his voice never rises up any higher than normal speaking level, he seems slightly sedated, like he's on a drug that doesn't hinder his thought processes, but makes him slightly calmer than the rest of the world.

oh my god. i bought that movie just yesterday and watched it when i got home, and he is probably one of the best things about the film aside from the amazing acting talents of the kids!

reply

Anyone else think he would be great to play Kurt Cobain after watching this movie? I heard they were making a movie about him.

reply

Within the first few minutes of this film,I felt that if they ever
disgrace the world of cinema with a Clockwork Orange remake, this may be one of the only guys to keep it from sucking. Something him from this movie alone, the
whole time I kept thinking this. I felt he did a good job in his Dahmer portrayal, kinda make it his own.

I think Jeremy Renner is brilliant, but I do hope that he would not disgrace his integrity by starring in a remake of ACO.

Loved that film when I was younger, and didn't spot him again until SWAT. He's everywhere now!

reply

He was good as young psycho here, can't stand even looking at him in his later roles.

reply

that's a cheap, low-budget, retard movie. His first and worst performance, as it is supposed to be

reply

Wow, I think he would do great. I never thought about that.

How about Renner's latest movie? He was terrific in 28 Weeks Later. He stole the show, even though the two kids were actually freat in it.

reply

I haven't actually seen this movie as yet, but I've seen most of Jeremy's other films (S.W.A.T, Jesse James, 28 Weeks Later, North Country, 12 & Holding, etc.) that are here where I live. I'm a bit scared to see Dahmer- particularly because of the R rating, and the fact that I'm underage- Is it really that bad? Is this in a way like A Clockwork Orange, or would you say worse?
