SUPER confused!!!!

Ok.... so I just watched this movie and I'm really confused. I've never seen the first one so I was wondering if anyone knew who was doing this? WHy they're doing this? And How are they doing this? Was these questions ever answered in the first one? Or does no one really know?

Yeah, this is not really a film series in the strictest sense. It's a film, whose concept is then borrowed and twisted into a sequel and a prequel.

I strongly recommend saving yourself the agony of watching Cube Zero, though.

My mind knows not the state of tiredness
