Might be a stupid Question, but...
But why did Max and Julia start to have sex? We're they like "Oh well, we're gonna die anyway, so we might as well do it"?

I love this movie, but this was one stupid scene!

Oh come on! It made perfect sense! He liked her the moment he saw her. And he was a computer nerd - it might have been the only chance in years to get some RL action ;) [/sarcasm]
sharehaving just watched it I have come to this conclusion. Julia thought it was a dream (stupid I know) so she was like screw it and started making out. Now whether she became delusional from the endlessness of it all or if she truly believed it was just a dream I dont really know, I am just stating that she herself claimed it to be a dream.
shareYeh what he hell was that all about, like i just watched cube 1 today and then this one and to be honest i prefer the orignal cause at least it had some sense behind it. Couldnt get the ending to this and just generally seemed a bit aimless...
shareActually, people often get sexually aroused when they feel near death. I know it sounds ridiculous but physiologically speaking, being scared and being aroused are not all that different. It is also a last ditch effort to "spread one's seed" before the end.
Also, it's not a very good movie and they wanted an excuse for side boob.
"I don't want to die a virgin." <-- Guy.
"...I got nothing 'else' to do." <-- Chick.

I'm not sure if this has been asked already; but has anyone wondered why Max got busy with her in that room in the first place? Before he stepped into the room he saw that time, inside that particular room, moved much faster right? And if he creaated the programs for the rooms in the first place shouldn't he have known that advanced aging was a possibilty? Anyone?

If you think about it, your questions provide the answer.
"Ted Kennedy has killed more people than second-hand smoke ever will."
The only thing I kept thinking, and I know I'm too much of a realist is that they haven't had anything to drink for hours and with both of them with super dry mouth, they both must have had the funkiest breath.
