I'm talking about Becky Young. She was on a missing person's case and Simon was sent to find her. The thing is though, they never explained what she did, or how she got in there.
Looked like they set her character up, only to kill her.
I always thought since Becky Young was an Izon employee, she was a whistle-blower who had gone missing. I mean, considering the movie is largely built around how "Izon is as evil as evil corporations get", it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to think Simon was hired by people who were supposed to get inside info from Becky. I mean, it wasn't mentioned or anything, but I thought this to be the obvious case.
shareThat seems reasonable enough. Could also explain why Simon was put in the cube. Perhaps he was digging too deep into Izon and they had to get rid of him.
shareFor me, the only 'point' to her character reappearing later in the film was probably that the filmmakers were trying to take the opening "Alderson moment" like the one in the first film a further step.
