Why did they hire two people with a lisp!?

I'm not making fun of people with lisps, but it deterred the already awful movie even more with those two, Max and Jerry. These are supposed to be actors that express the film's purpose to the best of its ability, and hiring two people with speech impediments was NOT a smart idea. But I guess there aren't very many "smart" ideas in this film.

How do you know the actors have a lisp? Maybe it was just their character. And don't diss Jerry. He was the best character in the movie.

reply

I didn't even notice.

reply

I noticed it too, especially when the film would dissolve to a montage with voice over.

reply

Neither of them had a lisp. You're probably just not used to hearing Canadian accents is all.

reply

I clearly heard Max's lisp, but only once. Never heard anything odd in Jerry's voice.

Light help the world! He lies in the snow and cries like the thunder! He burns like the sun!

Do you remember Leven (the girl mathematician) in the first Cube? Her's was waaay more pronounced.
