How can a blind girl... (SPOILER).

How can a blind girl be the best hacker in the entire world?
This is a serious question, not a dig at blind people.
Is it possible to be a brilliant hacker if you're blind? Special software?

Thanks in advance for answers!

Plot hole maybe unless the blindness was a ruse, or hell she had her vision but lost it at some point.

Blindness is certainly a handicap, but that doesn't mean they can't use the internet. They most certainly do. But even if it's hard for you to buy, why not just assume the blindness is newly acquired? She did seem really pitiful and unable to care for herself, so maybe she hasn't been living with blindness all that long.

That's not a plot hole.

That's not a plot hole. Her blindness is not contradicted.

I met a blind software engineer at my father's job. He had special software that reads aloud. He used it to write code. I've been able to see my whole life and I can't write code for $h!t.

Even though it wasn't stated or alluded to in the film, maybe her blindness wasn't for real? Maybe it was a ruse, a distraction, or an issue caused by the Cube? The reason I say this is that she was wearing a regular watch, not a watch that would be worn by a blind person. Perhaps it is a subtle hint or perhaps it was just a mistake... I don't know.

Of course. We've had special books for the blind for over a hundred years.

Naturally we'd have special software that allows the blind to use computers.
