Was Philly Shot In Widescreen?

When it was shown in the UK it was shown as 4:3 but I notice HDNet showed it in 16:9. Was it originally shot in 16:9 or did HDNet just crop the top and bottom of the picture?

Better late than never, but I just caught an episode here in 4:3 and the framing suggests 16:9 (and NYPD Blue camera work as usual).

I just saw my first HDNet broadcast and it looked like native 16:9

Update: I saw the replay and watched it more closely. It does look cropped and magnified.
