I'm not sure if it's me, or if this season is really that bad. All I know is that I think the teams are mostly uninteresting, the strategy is mostly uninteresting, the locations are mostly uninteresting, the challenges are mostly uninteresting, etc.
Or do others disagree and think this is a great season? If so, why? I'd really like to know. Another season like this one, and I think I'm done with it.
I agree with about half our your statement. I did a post last week saying this was a Jeckyll and Hyde season for me. I think the locations have been great and until the lame roadblock this past week, the tasks have proven somewhat challenging and interesting.
My problem is that the casting was really bad, with these so called social media teams. If I were to compare it to other seasons, out of this season's cast, there is only maybe three teams that I think could race in other seasons and still be interesting, entertaining and race well.
Had the casting been better, this could have been a really good season, not top 10, but still could have been in the top half.
The fact that I don't really care who wins, kind of sums it up for me.

Agree re the casting. Very bland - it seems a lot of these teams are only good listening to for the short minutes they do their social media thing.
Tyler and Korey I believe are the exception, they're funny, they play the game, give good anecdotes and are a strong team. Ashley and Burnie have really grown on me but they're still not that strong personality wise.
I also agree about the places, South America always bores me and Europe this year was extremely mundane especially the tasks, now they're in Asia (even though it's Indonesia...AGAIN) it's more interesting. From the promo for next week it seems like they're coming to Mainland China as well and as someone who lives here, I look forward to it!
I did enjoy Georgia and Armneia, they're completely off my radar so it was interesting to see something a bit different!
It's funny because even though they've been to Amsterdam multiple times, it never fails to come up with good tasks and provide entertainment. Some countries just bring it I guess!

It's fairly middle of the road. I actually like the cast especially when compared with some of the seasons in the teens. The route however has been a bit uninspired. We had a stretch of good legs but some of them have been terrible. The Geneva leg had the horrible equilizer at the end, France was beautiful but the tasks were lacking, and then the second Bali leg was lackluster as well. But for me I would rank it probably in the upper half of all the seasons.
Second half of the season has been way better than the first half because teams are acting more like its a game and using actual strategy as well.
The first half of the season was a bore, but the second half is doing much better.
