Wow, I'm really surprised by this. Have the rating been dropping that much? I didn't care for the past couple of seasons, but only one season this time around?

shareI always thought this should alternate seasons with Survivor. Usually I get caught up in one or the other, but it's time consuming to keep up with both each week, especially if you fall behind a few episodes then have hours of reality tv to catch up on. I ended up not watching the last few seasons of AR for that reason.

Same for me with Survivor. Once you fall behind a couple episodes, you basically abandon it until you can get back to it completely. We just finished the Second Chance season a month ago and we are now down to just the final 3 hours of Beauty-Brains-Brawn season. Our goal was to watch it before the new season starts on Wednesday. Might not quite make it.

I think they changed the format too much with the gimmick seasons and not having good players. Many of the contestants looked the same and were very boring, I loved this show during the early seasons. The last 10 seasons were meh to me, I may have watched 2-3 seasons all the way and dropped the rest after 3 episodes. One season I fell asleep on every single episode.
I think they had to many shows to TAR a proper time slot. That sucks I know.

OP -- critical acclaim is high, but viewership is not, sadly.
I like the idea of alternating TAR with Survivor. And put them in the same time slot.
