my review of this movie

You have to work pretty hard to make me hate a movie where Anne Hathaway gets topless in the first 5 minutes. Congratulations to screenwriters Stephen Gaghan and Jessica Kaplan and director Barbara Kopple, you did it! The only reason I got this off of netflix was to see her nude without ever watching Brokeback Mountain (sorry I hate cowboys) so my expectations were not very high to begin with.

It is basically like an after school special meets softcore porn, and the acting is about on the same level as both. That kid from 3rd Rock from the Sun plays a walking wigger cliche. Freddy Rodriguez tries to play a mexican and can't even pull that off. The boss' daughter from Just Shoot Me came out of retirement just to prove she still can't act. and I've never seen so many actors smoking cigarettes but not inhaling, which is what all the gangsters do nowadays.

Also apparently in this world people draw guns on one another over quarter bags of weed.

I think the moral of the story is a gang bang is not rape if you consent, even if you regret it.

Anyway, I give the movie two stars. One for each of Ella Enchanted's breasts.
