East LA

I just watched the first twenty minutes of this movie and thought it was really funny that "going east" was such a big deal for the characters. I am white and I have lived on the east side of Los Angeles for a year now and it is not anything like it is depicted here. I am thinking that maybe the screenplay was originally written ten years ago, when it could have been more accurate.

LOLOLO

I was just there. UCLA student here, and I drove outward to pick up a friend, and this premise is very 'white-flight' propaganda.

Most of non-suburbs America are sh!tholes, but they're not quiet a Cormac McCarthy novel, or like Detroit or anything--desperately in need of renovation and homeless people flooded LA included.

Montobello's even got tween friendly night clubs.
