haaha
okay.

God knows there is no worse punishment on earth than boredom.

Pulling their heads out of their asses and thinking about someone other than themselves is obviously too hard and too much to ask.

Yea at one point I thought they were Bi or something. Maybe that's just hollywood thinking that all girls act like that.

I actually thought it was more boredom and posing. Basically them acting like they imagine daring wild girls act like. Faux lesbianism and so on.

Maybe I am seeing characther depth where isn't any, but I had a feeling that Emily really loved Ally as a friend and becouse her relations with her crew and her boyfriend were fake she felt lonely and thought that maybe she and Ally should be together. I might be wrong, but IMHO in the entire movie they are the only 2 persons that really like each other.

I agree. They loved each other. In a life where parents are rarely present, friends are petty and shallow, and "crews" are pathetic attempts to adopt a culture they know nothing about, all they really could count on was each other. Allie even said to the guy that was doing the documentary that she was just sitting and talking to Emily and it felt real. They were really best friends. They did love each other. But I feel like Emily loved Allie just a little more than a friend. You can even tell by the way she looked at Allie that she felt a deeper connection to her. I don't think Allie like Emily that way. I don't think they were trying to pretend to be faux lesbians. That's just how some female relationships are. Touchy, feely, almost to the point where people might misconstrue them as being lesbians. My best friend and I are like that sometimes. Just the other day we were in the mall and she just grabbed my hand and we held hands. I think we got stopped at least 6 or 7 times with people asking if we were holding hands because she was my girlfriend. Some friends have that connection. Some don't. Allie and Emily had that

I completely agree. It was obvious that Emily had feelings for Allie. I mean, just the way she looked at her. She seemed dead serious when she asked Allie if she thought that maybe they were suppost to be together. You could see how uncertain and excited she was when Allie flipped her over. I think that Allie kind of knew that Emily liked her, but didn't like her like that. She made a joke then quickly changed the subject. I actually kind of felt bad for Emily. I don't think she really cared who she slept with because it was never really going to be who she wanted.

Same here. I think Emily definitely had feelings for Allie. Not just the looks, but also the way she always said that Allie was prettier or that people really liked Allie better. Also, when Allie made the joke, "I don't think I could ever go down on you." Emily just said, "Well, that's okay." Almost like she didn't need that, or could handle that area on her own, or they could handle it in "other ways."

Completely agree. There wasn't anything fake about their relationship. It was the most real thing in both of their lives and Emily was clearly infactuated with Allie.

I don't think she really cared who she slept with because it was never really going to be who she wanted.

That pretty much sums up what I was thinking too.

Big Gay Al, it has recently come to our attention that you are gay.

reply

I definitely sensed some lesbian undertones.

Emily says shes in love with Allie when getting interviewed, so I don't know why people are treating it as a subtle thing that they found clues for and are some type of mastermind to come to that conclusion.
