Ali G is a transracial icon.
When transracial rights comes to the fore of political debate in the next decade the Ali G character will become revered as an icon for our people.
Watching this character is when many of us realized we were transracial. To see a man AWAB (assigned White at birth) identify as a Black man and embrace it's culture as his own was so bold and relatable. I too love hip hop and basketball and watching Ali G I too realized I wanted to be Black.
